Former First Lady Anita Perry endorsed former Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman (R).
COMP (Likely R): The San Antonio Express-News endorsed Comp. Glenn Hegar (R) and Janet Dudding (D) for their respective party’s nominations.
SC9 (Likely R): The Dallas Morning News endorsed David Schenck (R) over Justice Evan Young (R).
HD61 open (Likely R): The Dallas Morning News endorsed Frederick Frazier (R).
HD67 (Likely R): The Dallas Morning News endorsed Rep. Jeff Leach (R-Allen).
HD92 open (Likely D): The Dallas Morning News endorsed Salman Bhojani (D).

Redistricting: A federal three-judge panel denied plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction against the new boundaries of SD10. The plaintiffs “have not satisfied the requirements necessary to obtain a preliminary injunction,” U.S. District Judge David Guaderrama, an Obama appointee, for the panel. A full written opinion is forthcoming. A trial on the merits before the panel is scheduled to begin on September 27.
